Your data, in plain English.

When you create an account we store your name, email, and a one-way hash of your password (we can't read the password itself). If you sign in with Google or Apple we store the account ID and the email that provider gives us — nothing else.

While you study, we record which videos you watched, how far through each one you got, what you bookmarked, and any chapter-level progress. None of this is shared with anyone outside the platform.

When you talk to the AI tutor — by text or voice — your messages (and, on voice calls, your audio) are sent to OpenAI to generate the answer. They're used only to produce the response, not to train OpenAI's models, and they aren't linked to your name or email on their side.

When you subscribe to a course, Stripe handles your card details on their own servers — we never see or store the card number. We do keep the subscription record (which plan, when it expires, the Stripe customer ID).

The short version: we use your data to run the product. That means signing you in, tracking which chapter you're on, surfacing the right resume button on the home page, and unlocking the chapters you've paid for.

We also use your email to send a small number of transactional notifications — account verification, password reset, purchase receipts, renewal reminders. You can opt out of the optional ones (newsletter, weekly digest) in Settings › Notifications.

A small list of providers we use to run the platform:

• OpenAIProcesses AI tutor chat messages and voice audio to generate answers. Not used to train their models.

• MongoDB AtlasOur database — encrypted at rest, hosted in the US.
• Microsoft ClarityAnonymous usage analytics so we can fix broken pages and weird UI. No video recordings of accounts.

We don't share your data with anyone else, and we don't sell it.

You own your data. You can:

• —Edit your profile and notification preferences at any time from Settings.
• —Delete your account permanently — that wipes your profile, watch history, bookmarks, and cancels any active subscription. There's a Delete account button at the bottom of Settings.
• —Request a copy of everything we hold about you — email support@nclips.ai and we'll send a JSON export within 30 days.

We use one cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Microsoft Clarity records anonymous, session-level usage data — which pages you visit, where you click, where the layout breaks. It doesn't track you across other websites and we don't use it to build a personal profile.

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt before they hit our database — even our engineers can't read them. The database itself is encrypted at rest and only reachable from our own backend servers.

If you spot a security issue, please report it to support@nclips.ai and we'll respond within 24 hours.
